Reality Fracture Collector Booster Calculator

Set how many collector packs you’re opening — type a number or tap a 12-pack box, two boxes, or the five-box break from our sample — then pick the treatment you’re chasing. The big figure is your chance of pulling at least one across your packs; the table prices every treatment at once, and the panel below handles the two things that aren’t odds at all: the Facet Foil treatment and the serialized Bloodline Recollector, neither of which anyone in our sample pulled. All rates come from the 132-pack (11-box) sample behind our Reality Fracture collector booster pull-rate page.

These rates describe collector boosters only. Play boosters use a completely different structure and produce none of the premium finishes — no Facet Foil, no Fractured Foil, no serialized Bloodline Recollector — so none of the numbers here apply to them.

How this model works — independent treatments

Reality Fracture’s treatments are not mutually exclusive. A Fractured Foil is also an anime Showcase; a signed art card is also an art card. So every treatment is scored on its own per-pack rate rather than being forced into one hit slot: for each row you get the chance of at least one across your packs, 1 − (1 − rate)^packs, and the expected count, rate × packs.

This is why the rates below do not add up to 100% — they are overlapping flags on the same pack, not slices of a pie, and three of them are fixed slots that appear in every pack. Adding them together, or normalising them, double-counts packs. The nested rows are marked: Fractured Foil sits inside anime Showcase, and signed art card sits inside art card.

Reality Fracture has no bulk packs — the premium slot is a fixed part of every collector pack, so the any-treatment figure is 100% by construction rather than by measurement. The real question is how bad the guaranteed thing gets. In the one box logged slot-by-slot the answer was: not very. One of the twelve slots gave an extended-art card, the outcome that opener spent the video hoping against — and it still scanned at €11.85. The cheapest fancy foil in the entire box was €4.92. Duds do exist (a different opener called a pack with a bulk mythic in the hit slot "a dead pack"), but this is a single box of data and it contained no worthless slot at all.

All the sample supports is a ceiling: with 0 hits in 132 packs the rate is below about 2.3% per pack (95% upper bound, rule of three), which caps your 12 packs at 24%. That is an upper bound, not an estimate — the true rate is almost certainly far below it. Buy the card instead.

Price basis: PriceCharting market USD, 25 October 2026 (set released 2 Oct 2026). Pre-sale prices are inflated and openers noted they often halve within a month or two — re-check the market before you treat any of these as a break-even.

These are treatment odds, not named-card odds. An anime Showcase lands about once per box, but the cycle is ten cards — so the chance your one anime card is the Emrakul specifically is roughly a tenth of the 10.4% tier rate. The same applies to the Facet Foils: thirteen different cards share a treatment nobody in our sample pulled at all. Buying the single is almost always cheaper than opening for a named card.

The 132-pack sample is creator-sourced — people who open on camera at release tend to show their luckiest boxes — so treat every rate here as an optimistic ceiling. Denominators also differ by row, because not every creator tracked every treatment: the anime Showcase rate is measured over 96 packs and the special-guest rate over 108, while the signed-art, Fractured Foil and zero-observation rows use all 132.

Rates come from 132 collector packs across 11 boxes, including one continuous five-box break and one box logged slot-by-slot through a price scanner, and are the figures behind our pull-rate page. Wizards of the Coast does not publish official collector booster odds. Treatments are modelled as independent per-pack flags; real collation clusters hits, so a live box can over- or under-shoot. The Facet Foil treatment and the serialized Bloodline Recollector have no published rate and are excluded from all odds. All dollar figures are PriceCharting market USD as of 25 October 2026, three weeks after release, and move fast. Not financial advice, and not affiliated with Wizards of the Coast.

Creator-sourced sample · optimistic ceiling · mixed denominators
These odds are built on 132 collector packs across 11 boxes, including one continuous five-box break and one box logged slot-by-slot through a price scanner. The sample is aggregated from community openings in the first three weeks after release, and people who open on camera tend to show their luckiest boxes — so treat every rate as an optimistic ceiling. Denominators also differ by row, because not every creator tracked every treatment: the anime showcase rate is measured over 96 packs and the special-guest rate over 108, while the signed-art, Fractured Foil and zero-observation rows use all 132. Wizards of the Coast does not publish official collector booster pull rates.

Why These Odds Don’t Add Up to 100%

Most pack calculators model a single hit slot that resolves to exactly one rarity — one card comes out, it’s either an SIR or an IR or a rare, and the rates partition the pack so they sum to 100%. That model is wrong for Reality Fracture in two separate ways.

First, three of the rows below are fixed slots that appear in every single pack: the premium fancy-foil card, the three echo-pair sheet cards, and the full-art tower basic land. Those are p = 1 by construction, not probabilities, and the calculator marks them as informational rather than offering them as chase targets.

Second, the real treatments are nested. A Fractured Foil is a premium finish applied to an anime Showcase card — every Fractured Foil is also an anime Showcase, so those two rows overlap rather than compete. A signed art card is the Gold-Stamped Signature version of the art-card slot, so it sits inside the art-card row the same way. Adding those rows together double-counts packs.

So this calculator uses an independent-treatments model. Each treatment gets its own per-pack probability and is scored entirely on its own:

  • Chance of ≥1 — 1 − (1 − rate)^packs, computed per treatment. Nothing is subtracted from anything else.
  • Expected count — rate × packs, again per treatment.
  • Nested rows are flagged. Fractured Foil sits inside anime Showcase; signed art card sits inside art card. The calculator marks both “overlap” so you never add them to their parents.
  • Zero-observation rows are excluded entirely. Facet Foil and the serialized Bloodline Recollector have no rate and carry a statistical ceiling instead.

The Per-Pack Treatment Rates

A collector box is a confirmed 12 packs with no box topper, at roughly USD $435 as of 25 October 2026 — down from $560–$580 at launch three weeks earlier. These are the same aggregates published on the pull-rate page:

Facet Foil Shattered Mirror00 observedno rate publishedno rate — ceiling onlyZero in 132 packs across 11 boxes, including a five-box break whose opener spent the entire video hunting one and finished without seeing what a Facet Foil looks like. Creators cite print runs of roughly 3,000 mythics and 6,000 rares. The complete 13-card cycle costs about $3,503 to buy outright — less than the ~$4,800 of product this sample represents.
Serialized Bloodline Recollector (1 of 500)00 observedno rate publishedno rate — ceiling onlyThe set jackpot: a 1-of-500 retro-frame print run, tracked around $2,725 with 33 recorded sales. Zero in 132 documented packs, which is exactly what a 500-copy global print run should look like. Buy it as a single or do not buy it.

Reading the table: across a single 12-pack box you have a ~73% shot at an anime showcase, ~60% at a special guest, ~31% at a signed art card and ~9% at a Fractured Foil. The pull counts come from different denominators — stated in each note — because not every creator tracked every treatment on camera.

No Box Topper, No Blank Packs

Two structural details separate Reality Fracture from most recent Magic collector products, and they cut in opposite directions.

There is no box topper. The Hobbit and several other recent collector boxes include a guaranteed extra card outside the packs — in The Hobbit’s case a Classic Artist Series reprint that can be a ~$1,000 One Ring. Reality Fracture appears to ship 12 packs and nothing else: none of the eleven boxes in our sample produced a topper, no opener mentioned one, and Wizards’ own product listing does not include one. Every dollar of value has to come out of a pack.

But there are no blank packs either. Every collector pack ends on a guaranteed premium “fancy foil” slot — openers’ term, and a genuinely unusual guarantee. Where roughly 1 in 4 of The Hobbit’s packs produced nothing premium at all, Reality Fracture’s floor is a premium card every time. The variable is only which one. Here is what those twelve slots gave in the single box that was logged card-by-card:

Fancy-foil slot outcomeCount (of 12)ShareWhat it was
Sculptor's Stronghold showcase foil325%Kwia Vigorbloom, Stinging Vitriol, Null Summoner

Japanese anime Showcase18%Aerid Konstrari
Dual land foil18%Shipwreck Marsh €6.49
Extended-art rare foil18%Loyal Tutor €11.85
Alt-art uncommon foil18%Ajani’s Anguish

What is striking is the absence of a bad outcome. The opener spent the box hoping extended-art cards had been removed from the slot; exactly one appeared, and it still scanned at €11.85. The cheapest fancy foil in all twelve packs was €4.92. Duds do exist in this set — a different opener flatly called a pack with a bulk mythic in the hit slot “a dead pack” — but this box contained no worthless slot at all. One box is a small sample, so treat the shape as indicative rather than measured. It does explain the per-pack economics though: the same box produced a €37 mean and €34 median pack value against a €32 pack price, which led that creator to conclude single collector packs were better value than the sealed box.

Facet Foil: The Rate We Won’t Publish

Facet Foil is the chase finish on the 13-card Shattered Mirror cycle — the cards whose art shows the original, pre-Echoverse version visible through cracked glass behind the new one. Across 132 documented packs (11 boxes, including a continuous five-box break whose opener spent the whole video asking for “just one facet foil”), zero were pulled. He finished the $2,900 break without ever seeing what one looks like.

So we publish no rate for it, and the calculator excludes it from every odds figure. Inventing a per-pack probability from zero observations would be fabrication. What the sample does support is a ceiling: with 0 hits in 132 packs, the 95% upper confidence bound is about 2.27% per pack (the rule of three, 3/n) — which caps a single 12-pack box at roughly 24%. Read that as “no more likely than,” not “about.” Creators cite print runs of roughly 3,000 mythic and 6,000 rare Facet Foils across the entire global print run, which puts the true rate far below the ceiling.

The arithmetic that settles it: the 132 packs in this sample represent roughly $4,800 of product at today’s box price and produced no Facet Foils at all. The complete 13-card Facet Foil cycle costs about $3,503 to buy outright, and the cheapest member — Frostbite Pyromental — is $76.65. You can buy every Facet Foil in the set for less than this sample cost to open. Do not chase it.

The same logic applies to the serialized Bloodline Recollector: a 1-of-500 retro-frame print run tracked around $2,725 with 33 recorded sales, and zero in 132 packs. That is exactly what a 500-copy global print run should look like in a sample this size.

Break-Even: The Box That Nearly Pays for Itself

A collector box is ~USD $435 for 12 packs — about $36 per pack. Unusually for this product category, the break-even section is not purely theoretical, because three of the openings in our sample closed out with a measured value figure:

  • Five-box break: $2,424 of cards against $2,900 of product — 84%, full card-by-card tally at launch-week prices
  • Scanner box: €397 of cards against a €374 box — 106%, every card scanned
  • Review box: cleared $560 — ≥100%. The opener guessed ~$375 by eye, then triggered his own pre-recorded “if this box really does hit $560” message and signed off with “we got there apparently somehow.” No exact total published

For context, the five-box opener noted that his recent Final Fantasy and Spider-Man collector openings returned 35–40%. At 84% he called the result “honestly, for collector boxes, not bad.” Two things have moved since: the box price has fallen from $560–$580 to about $435, which would push that same $484.80-per-box return up toward 111% — but the chase treatments have repriced downward too, with the complete Facet Foil cycle now at ~$3,503 against the “almost $10,000” one opener quoted from pre-sale listings.

Those effects push in opposite directions, so the honest read is: Reality Fracture collector boxes sit somewhere around break-even, which is a genuinely unusual place for a modern Magic collector box to be. The break-even table in the calculator shows what one copy of each market anchor would cover. It is still a reference, not an expected-value model.

Treatment Odds vs Named-Card Odds

The calculator prices treatments, not individual cards, and the gap between the two is where most pack-opening disappointment lives. The ~10.4% anime showcase rate is the chance a pack carries any anime showcase — and the cycle is ten cards. The odds your one-per-box anime card is the $339 Fractured Foil Emrakul specifically are a small fraction of that, because you need both the right card and the premium finish.

The Facet Foils are worse still: thirteen different cards share a treatment nobody in our sample pulled at all, so even hitting the treatment is only a 1-in-13 shot at the one you wanted. And Reality Fracture’s playable ceiling is unusually low — The Theorist, Jace Beleren is $58 in its base printing and Hexhaven Invigorator is $30, which one opener summarised as “the main set, if you just go base versions, there’s nothing over like 40 bucks.” If you want to play the set, buy the singles. Use the treatment odds to decide whether to open at all.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the odds of an anime showcase card?

About 10.4% per pack (~1 in 10, about 1.2 per box), so roughly 73% over a single 12-pack collector box and 93% over two boxes. A coin-flip takes about 6 packs. Two openers independently believed it was a guaranteed per-box slot; one then hit two in the same box. Remember the cycle is ten cards, so a specific one is roughly a tenth of that.

What is the Facet Foil pull rate?

Unpublished, because it went 0 for 132. The only defensible statement is a ceiling of ~2.27% per pack (95% upper bound from zero hits in 132 packs), capping one box at ~24%. Creators cite ~3,000 mythic and ~6,000 rare Facet Foils across the whole print run, so the real rate is far lower. The complete 13-card cycle costs ~$3,503 to buy — less than this sample cost to open.

What is the special guest rate?

~7.4% per pack (≈1 in 13.5, about one per box), measured over the 108 packs where special guests were tracked — a ~60% chance of at least one in a single box. The five-box opener quoted a figure near 9% and hit four across five boxes. Set your pack count above and pick Special guest to see it live.

Why don’t the treatment rates add up to 100%?

Three of the rows are fixed slots that appear in every pack (the fancy-foil card, the three echo-pair cards, the tower land), and the real treatments are nested rather than exclusive — every Fractured Foil is also an anime showcase, and every signed art card is also an art card. The calculator scores each row independently and marks the nested ones “overlap” so you never add them to their parents.

How many box toppers will I get?

None. Reality Fracture collector boxes ship 12 packs and no box topper — unlike The Hobbit and several other recent collector products. The calculator shows no topper panel for this set because there is nothing to show. Everything of value comes out of the packs.

Do collector boxes break even?

Closer than almost any recent Magic collector box. Of three measured boxes, one returned 84% of cost and two cleared 100%, against 35–40% for the same opener’s recent Final Fantasy and Spider-Man boxes. The box has since fallen from $560–$580 to ~$435, pushing the measured return toward 111% — though the Facet Foil and Fractured Foil cycles have repriced downward too. Around break-even, which is unusual, and still not an investment.

Disclaimer: Odds are computed from a 132-pack collector booster sample across 11 boxes, including a continuous five-box break and one box logged slot-by-slot through a price scanner — community estimates, as Wizards of the Coast does not publish official collector booster pull rates. The sample is creator-sourced and reads as an optimistic ceiling, and denominators differ by row. Treatments are modelled as independent per-pack flags; real collation clusters hits, so a live box can over- or under-shoot. The Facet Foil treatment and the serialized Bloodline Recollector have no published rate and are excluded from all odds. All dollar figures are PriceCharting market USD, 25 October 2026 (set released 2 Oct 2026) and move fast — verify current prices before buying or selling. This is not financial advice.
