Most Expensive White Magic Cards 2026: Top 20

Why White MTG Cards Hold Value

White is the colour of order, taxation, and board control in Magic — and its most expensive cards have been format-defining for over three decades. Mox Pearl is the white Power Nine piece, producing white mana for free. Three white dual lands (Tundra, Scrubland, Savannah) are Reserved List cornerstones of Legacy mana bases. The Legends expansion added Moat (the premier anti-aggro enchantment) and Karakas (an unusually liquid Legacy staple despite its low raw price). White's price list tells a story of value spread across multiple eras and use cases — from Pure Power Nine collector pieces to highly liquid Legacy playables.

Karakas note: Despite only $57 raw, Karakas has 141 annual transactions — the highest volume of any card on this page and the most liquid Legends card overall. It's a heavily played Legacy staple in Mono-White Humans and Death & Taxes, where it bounces legendary creatures like Emrakul and Thalia.

White Dual Lands

White appears on three of the ten original dual lands — Tundra (white/blue), Scrubland (white/black), and Savannah (white/green). All three are on the Reserved List.

Tundra (White/Blue)

The premier white dual, used in Legacy Stoneblade, Death & Taxes, and any white-blue control strategy. Alpha at $4,933 / $9,656 PSA 10 with only 9 annual trades. Beta at $4,855 / $7,216 — nearly identical to Alpha raw price, which is unusual. Unlimited $1,207 / $2,290 with 64 annual trades. The Alpha-Beta price parity on Tundra suggests that Beta demand has caught up to Alpha for this particular card.

Scrubland (White/Black)

White/black dual used in Legacy Death & Taxes, Deadguy Ale, and Esper strategies. Alpha $2,995 / $9,444 PSA 10 — a notable 3.15x PSA premium. Beta $2,385 / $3,193 with 15 annual trades. Unlimited $644 / $1,071 with 60 annual sales.

Savannah (White/Green)

White/green dual for Legacy Maverick and GW Enchantress strategies. Alpha $2,944 / $9,032 PSA 10 with 10 annual trades. Beta $2,720 / $3,032 with 13 trades. Unlimited $612 / $1,181 with 55 annual sales.

Mox Pearl Breakdown

Mox Pearl is the white Power Nine piece — an artifact that taps for white mana at zero cost, enabling explosive early turns in Vintage and Legacy. Alpha at $6,714 / $27,691 PSA 10 shows a 4.12x PSA premium — one of the most attractive grading multiples of any white card. Beta at $3,801 / $10,271 PSA 10 (2.70x premium). Unlimited at $3,603 / $5,740 (1.59x premium) with 40 annual sales. Mox Pearl is generally the cheapest coloured Mox, as white is considered the weakest colour in Vintage/Legacy — creating a relative value opportunity for collectors who want Power Nine exposure at the lowest possible entry price among the five Moxen.

Legends White Cards

Five Legends cards appear in white's top 20, spanning enchantments, creatures, and lands.

Moat

The iconic white enchantment at $1,104 raw / $1,361 PSA 10 with 91 annual sales. Moat prevents non-flying creatures from attacking — effectively locking down creature-based aggro strategies. A Legacy Enchantress staple and Commander favourite.

Balance

One of white's most powerful spells: at $1,960 raw / $4,017 PSA 10 with only 9 annual trades. Balance equalises lands, permanents, and hand size between all players — banned in Legacy, restricted in Vintage. Only ~9 trades/year globally makes this extremely illiquid for its price point.

Armageddon

At $1,202 raw / $4,332 PSA 10 with only 7 annual trades — Alpha Armageddon has one of the largest PSA premiums relative to raw in white (3.6x). Extremely illiquid: only ~7 trades/year globally. A classic mass land destruction spell, restricted in Vintage and a Commander all-star.

Buying Tips for White Magic Cards

Karakas: Most Efficient Entry Point

At $57 raw / $166 PSA 10 with 141 annual transactions, Karakas offers the best combination of accessibility and liquidity in white. It's a practical Legacy staple that's easy to buy and sell, making it an ideal starting point for collectors interested in Reserved List white cards without large capital commitments.

Mox Pearl Unlimited: Best Mox Value

Among the five Moxen, Mox Pearl Unlimited at $3,603 raw is the cheapest — yet it provides the same Reserved List protection and Vintage/Legacy gameplay function. If Power Nine exposure is your goal, Mox Pearl Unlimited offers the lowest entry cost among the Mox cycle.

Balance Alpha: Patience Required

With only 9 annual trades, Balance Alpha is extremely illiquid for a $1,960 card. Budget 6–12 months to find a correctly-priced copy, and expect extended time-to-sale when exiting. The PSA 10 premium of 2.05x is modest compared to other Alpha spells — suggesting the graded market for Balance is not as developed as for Moxen or dual lands.
