What Is Riftbound Radiance?
Riftbound Radiance is the fifth set for the Riftbound TCG, Riot's physical card game set in the League of Legends universe. It lands October 23, 2026 worldwide, with Pre-Rift prerelease events running October 16–22. Radiance is the music-and-performance set — Seraphine headlines it, the alt-art Runes carry music-themed art, and the set's Ultimate rarity is a concert venue.
The set contains 180 cards including 66 Showcase treatments per Riot's own materials (community trackers count 167 collectible, a counting-convention difference on Showcase variants rather than a conflict). It introduces three new keywords — Deploy, Show Off and Disarm — plus Equipment Units and Bomb tokens, all covered in our Radiance mechanics guide.
Radiance carries nine Legends — Seraphine, Evelynn, Ekko, Ziggs, Jarvan IV, Orianna, K'Sante, Mordekaiser and Riven — each with an Overnumbered variant and an artist-signed Overnumbered on top of that, so the Legend chase is nine cards deep across two premium treatments. Sitting above all of it is Packed Amphitheater, Riftbound's second-ever Ultimate rarity card after Baron Nashor in Unleashed.
Box Contents & Pack Structure
Radiance is available in the following retail formats:
- Booster Display (Box) — 24 packs per display, the same as Unleashed and Vendetta
- Radiance Vault Bundle — 6 packs, a storage box, full-art foil tokens (gold and Bomb) and a complete set of 36 basic Runes
- Seraphine vs Evelynn Showdown Decks — two 56-card preconstructed decks, two Radiance packs, two playmats and deckboxes, $34.99 MSRP
- Pre-Rift Event Kits — store-allocated: a 15-card mini-precon, five packs and the Heimerdinger, Academy Instructor promo
Each booster pack contains three foil cards: one foil Common or Uncommon, and two foil Rare-or-above slots. Those two rare+ slots are where Legends, Epics, Showcase alt arts, Overnumbered and the Ultimate can appear. The rest of the pack is non-foil Commons and Uncommons.
Not every pack yields an Epic. With two rare+ slots per pack, plenty of packs come out as a Legend plus a regular Rare — technically two rare-or-above cards, practically a blank. In the one Radiance box we have a complete card-by-card tally for, at most 12 of the 24 packs contained an Epic or better.
Booster display basics
- 24 packs per booster display
- 48 total rare+ slots per display (2 per pack × 24 packs)
- MSRP approximately $120 USD / €120, same as Vendetta
- Note that the Vault's 36 Runes are the basic Rune set — Radiance's music-themed alt-art Runes come from packs, roughly one per display
Pull Rate Data: 54 Packs
The data below is aggregated from community openings totalling 54 packs — two 24-pack booster displays plus one 6-pack Vault Bundle, opened and published when the Radiance embargo lifted on October 12, eleven days ahead of the October 23 retail launch.
Two caveats you should read before the table. First, these were promotional boxes supplied by Riot to content creators at the Radiance Summit. Creator product can run hotter than retail, so read the hit tiers as a best case. Second, only one of the two displays was tallied card by card on camera; the other was opened with commentary that skipped most Rares, so it bounds the Showcase and Overnumbered tiers reliably but not the Epic or Legend counts. Where a figure rests on a single box, the table says so.
Because each pack has two rare+ slots, the table expresses outcomes per pack (at least one of that rarity in the pack) and per 24-pack display, not per individual slot.
| Rarity | Observed | % per Pack | Per 24-Pack Display |
|---|---|---|---|
| Epic — base print (incl. signature spells) | 8 in the tallied display (24 packs) | ~31% | ~8 (one box) |
| Showcase / alt-art Epic | 3 + 3 across both displays (48 packs) | ~12% | exactly 3 in both displays |
| Alt-art Rune (music-themed) | 1 + 1 across both displays (48 packs) | ~4% | exactly 1 in both displays |
| Overnumbered | 1 in 54 packs — from the Vault; 0 across 48 display packs | ~1.9% | 0 in both displays; plan ~0.4–0.5 (≈1 in 2–3 boxes) |
| Artist-signed Overnumbered | 0 in 54 packs | unconfirmed | <0.2 (rarer than unsigned) |
| Ultimate Rare — Packed Amphitheater | 0 in 54 packs (as expected) | 0.025% (Riot-stated) | ~0.006 (≈1 per 167 displays) |
| Legend (Rare) | ~8 in the tallied display (24 packs) | ~31% | ~8–9 (one box) |
| No Epic or better in the pack | at least 12 of 24 packs in the tallied display | ~50%+ | ~12+ |
| Total Packs | 54 | — | 24 (display) |
Note: percentages do not sum to 100% because one pack can contain both a Legend and an Epic (two different rare+ slots). "No Epic or better" means both rare+ slots were Legends or regular Rares. The 12-of-24 figure is a floor, derived by assuming every Epic and Showcase card in the tallied display landed in a different pack — several did not, so the true blank count is higher.
Where to buy Riftbound Radiance
Radiance launches October 23 at approximately $120 MSRP for a 24-pack booster display and $34.99 for the Seraphine vs Evelynn Showdown Decks. Check your local game store first — local stores are also the only route to Pre-Rift (October 16–22) and its Heimerdinger promo.
Named Notable Pulls
Card names below are transcribed from the October 12 openings. Names that match Riot's revealed card list are given in full; a handful are brand-new reveals whose exact wording may be corrected at launch, and those are flagged.
- The one Overnumbered: an Overnumbered Orianna, Lady of Clockwork — pulled from the 6-pack Vault, alongside Orianna's signature spell in the same six packs. Neither 24-pack display produced a single Overnumbered.
- Showcase Epics, display one: alt-art Seraphine, Ziggs and Riven — three champion Showcases, one of each, plus one alt-art Rune.
- Showcase Epics, display two: an alt-art red Ekko Epic (the opener's pick of the box), alt-art Evelynn, Consuming, and an Akali Showcase in K/DA art — again three, again plus one alt-art Rune.
- Signature spells pulled: Chronobreak (Ekko), The Ball (Orianna), and the Seraphine signature. Signature spells sit at Epic and were the most common Epic type in the sample.
- Epics pulled: K'Sante, Dauntless, the yellow Mordekaiser Epic, the base Orianna Epic, two copies of Orianna, Lady of Clockwork, and an 8-energy purple Epic unit with built-in Deflect and no power cost.
- Legends pulled: Mordekaiser, Iron Revenant, Evelynn, Agony's Embrace, Riven, Broken Blade, Ziggs, Short-Fused, Orianna, Mechanical Marvel, Seraphine, Starry-Eyed Songstress, Jarvan IV, Exemplar of Demacia and the K'Sante Legend — most boxes will see most of the nine.
- Packed Amphitheater, the ordinary print: both displays pulled the normal non-Ultimate version of the battlefield — one of them twice. Pulling the card is routine; pulling the Ultimate treatment of it is the 1-in-4,000 event.
- Battlefields and foils: Cosmic Vista came up repeatedly, including a back-to-back pair in one display. Foil battlefields turned up most packs and are the cheapest thing in the set to complete by opening.
- Newly revealed in these openings (spelling unconfirmed): Firebrand Raider (6 energy, 6 might, readies all enemy units and stops the awaken-phase ready), Mechanical Bandit, Staunch Survivor, Gravity Field, Ephemeral Ward, Resource Extractor, Antagonistic Apparatus, Scorched Earth, Remember the Fallen, Spirit of the Forge, and a Neeko card that asks you to name three Legends beyond your starting one.
Key Findings
- Four Showcase cards per display, twice. Both boxes landed exactly three alt-art Epics plus one alt-art Rune. Two boxes is not proof, but it is the single most consistent number in the dataset and it is up on Vendetta's 2–3 alt arts per box.
- Epic rate looks better than Vendetta. ~8 base Epics plus 3 Showcase Epics in the tallied display — about 11 Epic-rarity cards in 24 packs, against 6–7 in Vendetta and Unleashed. One box, so treat it as the early read, not the rate.
- Legend density may finally be down. ~8 Legends in 24 packs versus the 12 per box that Vendetta and all six boxes of the Unleashed sealed case produced. If it holds, the long-running complaint about Legends clogging the rare+ slots is actually improving.
- Overnumbered is streaky and you should plan for zero. 48 display packs, no Overnumbered. The one in the sample came out of a 6-pack Vault — pure variance, and a reminder that the sensible retail expectation is one per 2–3 boxes, not one per box.
- The Ultimate is not a plan. Riot's stated 0.025% puts Packed Amphitheater at 1 in 4,000 packs, 1 per 167 displays, 1 per 28 sealed cases — roughly $20,000 of boxes per copy at MSRP.
- Roughly half of packs are blanks. At least 12 of 24 packs in the tallied display contained nothing above a Legend or regular Rare — and that is a floor, since several Epics shared packs.
- Creator-box caveat. These came from the Radiance Summit, not a shelf. Every hit tier above should be read as a ceiling until retail boxes are measured.
Rarity Breakdown
| Rarity Tier | Description | Observed Rate | Expected Per Display |
|---|---|---|---|
| Legend (Rare) | The nine champion cards — Seraphine, Evelynn, Ekko, Ziggs, Jarvan IV, Orianna, K'Sante, Mordekaiser, Riven — at Rare rarity. Low individual value; the main source of "blank" packs. | ~8 per 24 packs | ~8–9 |
| Regular Rare | Non-Legend Rare units, spells, gear and battlefields. Playable cards with modest value; Cosmic Vista and the Packed Amphitheater base print live here. | fills most remaining rare+ slots | ~25–30 |
| Epic | Signature spells (Chronobreak, The Ball), premium champion units (K'Sante Dauntless, Orianna Lady of Clockwork) and key gear. The primary hit tier in Riftbound. | ~31% of packs | ~8 |
| Showcase / Alt Art | Textured alternate-art versions of Epics — Radiance is the first set where Riot commissioned new art for these rather than reusing Legends of Runeterra art. | ~12% of packs | exactly 3 in both displays |
| Alt-art Rune | The music-themed Rune Showcases. Not in the Vault — the Vault's 36 Runes are the basic set. Collectors want up to eight of a Rune, so these have real demand. | ~4% of packs | exactly 1 in both displays |
| Overnumbered | Overnumbered showcase treatment, numbered beyond the set size. All nine Legends have one, plus key Epics such as Orianna, Lady of Clockwork. | 1 in 54 packs; 0 in 48 display packs | ~0.4–0.5 (≈1 in 2–3 boxes) |
| Artist-signed Overnumbered | Signed variant of each Overnumbered. Rarer than unsigned; none appeared in the sample. | 0 in 54 packs | <0.2 |
| Ultimate Rare | Packed Amphitheater — the set's single Ultimate, and Riftbound's second ever after Baron Nashor. A battlefield giving Champion units +1 might, so genuinely playable rather than purely a collector piece. | 0 in 54 packs; Riot-stated 0.025% of packs | ~0.006 (≈1 per 167 displays) |
The Chase Cards
There is no secondary market for Radiance yet. This page went up eleven days before the October 23 launch, so the figures below are expectation bands anchored on what the equivalent treatments did in Unleashed and Vendetta — not observed prices. Nothing in this table is a quote. Re-check it in launch week.
| Card | Rarity / Treatment | Set | Expected Launch Band (USD) | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Packed Amphitheater | Ultimate Rare | Radiance battlefield | no market — four figures+ | 1 in 4,000 packs. Playable (+1 might to Champion units), which should hold its floor above Baron Nashor's |
| Signed Overnumbered Legends | Overnumbered, artist-signed | all nine Legends | no market — expect $300–600+ | Rarest obtainable tier below the Ultimate; nine champions deep, so a specific one is far rarer than "any" |
| Overnumbered Riven / Evelynn | Overnumbered (unsigned) | Legend showcase | no market — expect $60–120 | The two most-hyped Legends of preview season; the Overnumbered demand will concentrate here |
| Overnumbered Orianna, Lady of Clockwork | Overnumbered (unsigned) | Epic showcase | no market — expect $40–90 | The only Overnumbered in our 54-pack sample; confirmed to exist in packs |
| Alt-art Runes (music art) | Showcase | Rune cycle | no market — expect $15–40 each | ~1 per display. Players run up to eight of a Rune, so these have steady player demand on top of collector demand |
| Showcase Ekko (red Epic) | Showcase / alt art | Radiance | no market — expect $25–60 | Strongest card reaction in either opening; re-playable from the trash, likely a red staple |
| Showcase Evelynn, Consuming | Showcase / alt art | Radiance | no market — expect $20–50 | Evelynn has three Champion units; this is the one openers rated |
| Last Caress | Epic (Evelynn signature) | Radiance | no market — expect $20–40 | Signature for the most flexible Legend in the set; English wording still unconfirmed at time of writing |
| Chronobreak | Epic (Ekko signature) | Radiance | no market — expect $15–35 | Buy the signature for the one Legend you actually play; do not open for the set of nine |
| K'Sante, Dauntless | Epic | Radiance | no market — expect $8–20 | Powerful but power-hungry; K'Sante, Courageous is the more playable of the pair |
| The Good Stuff | Uncommon | Radiance | no market — expect $2–6 | The cheapest competitively essential card in the set. Draws your deck in Vex shells. Buy as a single, never chase through packs |
| Portable Portal / Trifarian Captain | Uncommon / Rare | Radiance | no market — expect $1–5 | Format staples at low rarity. A playset costs less than one pack. Never open for these |
Prices are expectation bands, not observations — Radiance has no secondary market as of October 2026 and these are anchored on the equivalent treatments in Unleashed and Vendetta. Riftbound singles typically fall over the 2–4 weeks after release as supply catches demand. Verify current prices before buying or selling.
Should You Open or Buy Singles?
Open if:
- You want the Showcase Epics — at a consistent three per display plus an alt-art Rune, this is the best Showcase density Riftbound has had, and Radiance is the first set with newly commissioned art for them
- You want playsets of Commons and Uncommons for competitive play — Radiance's best cards (The Good Stuff, Portable Portal, Trifarian Captain) are low-rarity, and opening is the fastest route to a pile of them
- You are building toward a master set and enjoy the opening experience for its own sake
- You collect foil battlefields — they appear in most packs and are the cheapest completion target in the set
Buy singles if:
- You want Packed Amphitheater. 1 in 4,000 packs. There is no version of opening that makes sense here
- You want a specific Overnumbered. Both of our 24-pack displays produced zero. Across nine Legends plus key Epics, and signed versions on top, hitting the one you want is a lottery
- You want a specific signature spell. Nine Legends, nine signatures, roughly 8 Epics per box spread across the whole Epic pool — buy the signature for the Legend you actually play
- You want to play the deck. The strongest cards in Radiance sit at Common and Uncommon. A full competitive playset of them will cost less than a single display
The numbers on chasing Packed Amphitheater
- Riot's stated rate is 0.025% of packs — 1 in 4,000 packs
- At 24 packs per display that is 1 per 167 displays, or 1 per 28 sealed cases
- At $120 MSRP per display, the expected spend for one copy is north of $20,000 — and that is the expectation, not a cap; half of all attempts cost more
- Our 54-pack sample produced none, which was the overwhelmingly likely outcome: 54 packs is about a 1.3% chance of seeing one
- Even at a four-figure secondary price, buying the single is an order of magnitude cheaper than the expected cost of opening for it
The numbers on chasing a specific Overnumbered
- Plan on roughly 1 Overnumbered per 2–3 displays — our two displays produced zero across 48 packs
- The Overnumbered pool is at least the nine Legends plus key Epics, so a named Overnumbered is roughly a tenth as likely as "any" Overnumbered
- That puts a specific unsigned Overnumbered somewhere around 1 per 20–30 displays — $2,400–$3,600 of boxes at MSRP, against an expected single price under $120
- The signed version is rarer again, and none appeared in our sample
The honest bottom line: on this early data Radiance is the best-feeling Riftbound box so far. Three Showcase Epics and an alt-art Rune turned up in both displays, the Epic count looks like 8 rather than Vendetta's 6–7, and the Legend bloat that made the last two sets feel samey appears to be down from 12 per box to about 8. That is a genuinely better 24-pack experience. But none of it changes the verdict: half your packs will still be a Legend and a Rare, neither display produced a single Overnumbered, the Ultimate is a $20,000 expected spend, and the cards that win games are Uncommons you can buy for pocket change. Open Radiance because the Showcases are worth seeing in person. Buy singles for anything you actually want. And remember these were Summit boxes — we will update this page with retail numbers once launch-week openings land.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does every Riftbound Radiance pack guarantee an Epic?
No. Every pack has three foils — one foil Common or Uncommon and two rare-or-above slots — but those two slots are frequently filled by Legends (at Rare) and regular Rares rather than Epics. In the one display we have a complete card-by-card tally for, at most half the packs contained an Epic or better. The two rare+ slots are where the higher rarities can appear, not where they always do.
How many Epics do you get per Riftbound Radiance booster box?
Around 8 base Epics plus 3 Showcase (alt-art) Epics in the 24-pack display we tallied — about 11 Epic-rarity cards per box. That runs ahead of the 6–7 Epics per box measured in both Vendetta and Unleashed. It comes from a single box, so treat 8 as the early read rather than a settled rate, and expect it to drift down as retail boxes get counted.
What is the Packed Amphitheater pull rate in Radiance?
Riot has stated the Ultimate rarity appears in roughly 0.025% of booster packs across the print run — about 1 in 4,000 packs, 1 per 167 booster displays, or 1 per 28 sealed cases. Our 54-pack sample produced none, which is exactly what the maths predicts. Note that both displays did pull the ordinary non-Ultimate print of the Packed Amphitheater battlefield — that card is a routine Rare; the Ultimate treatment of it is the 1-in-4,000 event. If you want it, watch the secondary market.
What is the Overnumbered pull rate in Radiance?
Our sample produced exactly one — an Overnumbered Orianna, Lady of Clockwork — and it came out of the 6-pack Vault rather than either booster display. Both 24-pack displays produced zero Overnumbered across 48 packs. That is consistent with the roughly 1 per 2–3 boxes measured in Vendetta and Unleashed, and it is a useful warning: a single box very often has none at all.
How many alt-art Showcase cards are in a Radiance box?
Both booster displays in our sample landed exactly four: three Showcase (alt-art) Epics and one alt-art Rune. That is the most consistent figure in the whole dataset, and it is up on the roughly 2–3 alt arts per box measured in Vendetta. Radiance is also the first Riftbound set where Riot commissioned new artwork for the Showcase treatments rather than reusing Legends of Runeterra art, which is part of why they are drawing more attention this time.
Why do I keep pulling so many Legends in Radiance?
Radiance has nine Legend champion cards — Seraphine, Evelynn, Ekko, Ziggs, Jarvan IV, Orianna, K'Sante, Mordekaiser and Riven — sitting at Rare and filling the rare-or-above slots. That said, the display we tallied produced about 8 Legends across 24 packs, noticeably fewer than the 12 per box that Vendetta produced and that all six boxes of the Unleashed sealed case produced. If that holds up over more boxes, the Legend-density complaint that dogged the last two sets is genuinely improving.
Is the Radiance Vault Bundle a better way to open packs?
Not on a per-pack basis — it is six packs, and our Vault happened to produce the sample's only Overnumbered purely by variance. What the Vault is actually for is the complete 36-Rune basic set, plus a storage box and full-art foil gold and Bomb tokens. If you are new to Riftbound, that Rune set is the cheapest route to a playable collection. If you already have Runes from Origins, Unleashed or Vendetta, you are paying a bundle premium for six packs. Note the Vault contains the basic Runes — the music-themed alt-art Runes only come from packs. Full product breakdown in our Radiance products guide.
How does Radiance compare to Vendetta for pull rates?
The structure is identical — 24 packs per display, three foils per pack, two rare-or-above slots, $120 MSRP. Early Radiance data runs hotter on the hit tiers: around 8 base Epics per box against Vendetta's 6–7, four Showcase cards per box against 2–3, and about 8 Legends clogging the slots instead of 12. The top of the set is rarer, though — Vendetta's Crystal Rose (Wild Rift) chase is replaced by the Packed Amphitheater Ultimate at a Riot-stated 1 in 4,000 packs, which is far rarer than anything in Vendetta. See our Vendetta box data for the comparison baseline.
Disclaimer: Pull rates are community estimates from 54 packs — two 24-pack booster displays and one 6-pack Vault — opened from promotional product supplied to creators at the Radiance Summit ahead of the October 23, 2026 release. Creator boxes can run hotter than retail, and several figures rest on a single box. Radiance has no secondary market at time of writing, so every price on this page is an expectation band anchored on previous sets, not an observed price. Verify current prices before buying or selling. This is not financial advice.
