Vendetta Case Mapping Calculator
Set your case count, click each opened box, and tick what it held. Everything recalculates live. The Odds / sealed box column is the chance a box you have not opened yet holds at least one of that hit, given what is already gone from the case. A Riftbound case is only 6 boxes, so every box that comes out swings the remaining odds far harder than it would in a 12-box One Piece case.
Click a box to open it, then tick what it held. Boxes you leave untouched are still sealed — the odds below are for those.

Estimates only. Riftbound has no published case map and no fixed hit map — hits land at random across the two rare-or-above slots in each pack, so a case yields these counts on average with heavy variance. The per-case budget is retail-adjusted downward from a release-week creator-box sample and cross-checked against the Unleashed 6-box case opening. Odds treat the per-case totals as a soft pool spread across the sealed boxes; a real case can over- or under-shoot. Not affiliated with Riot Games.
What Is In a Riftbound Vendetta Case
The configuration is simple, and it is the part of “case mapping” that is actually fixed:
- 6 booster boxes per booster display case
- 24 packs per booster box · 144 packs per case
- Three foil cards in every pack: one foil Common or Uncommon, plus two foil Rare-or-above slots
- 48 rare+ pulls per box · 288 rare+ pulls per case
- MSRP about $120 USD per box, so roughly $720 per case
Those two rare+ slots per pack are the single most misread thing about Riftbound odds. A pack can hold a Legend and an Epic, which is why our Vendetta pull rates page expresses its table as “at least one of that rarity in the pack” and why those percentages deliberately do not sum to 100%. The budget on this page is a different framing again: it counts cards per case, not packs per case. Keep the two apart — 39 Epics in a case is not the same claim as 27% of packs containing an Epic, even though both come from the same data.
Does Riftbound Vendetta Have a Case Map?
No — and there has never been one. Riot does not publish hit distributions for Riftbound, and unlike older One Piece sets there is no community box-by-box chart to inherit. The premium treatments — Epic, Alt Art, Overnumbered, Spirit Forge, Crystal Rose — land in the two rare+ slots at random, so one box can deliver four notable hits while the next delivers one. Any chart claiming “box 3 holds the Overnumbered” for Vendetta is made up.
What survives is the case budget: the average number of each treatment a 6-box case contains. That is enough to do something genuinely useful. Subtract everything already pulled from the case, spread the remainder across the boxes still sealed, and you get conditional odds that move as the case empties. That is what the calculator above does, and it is the honest version of case mapping — you are mapping probability, not positions.
One structural note worth having in mind at a shop: with 6 boxes to a case rather than 12, the conditional effect is strong. If a case has given up four boxes with no Overnumbered recorded, the two left carry the whole remaining budget between them.
The Per-Case Hit Budget
These are the figures the calculator uses, expressed per 6-box case. The Reliable tier shows up in effectively every case. The Lottery tier is a genuine chase that can skip a case entirely — and for Crystal Rose, usually does.
| Hit Type | Avg / Case | Avg / Box | Odds / Fresh Box | Tier | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Epic | 39 | ~6.5 | ~100% | Reliable | Signature spells (Heart of the Tempest, Dominus, Rogue Assassin), epic champion units and key gear. ~27% of packs, 6–7 per box. The Unleashed retail case averaged ~6.5/box across 5–8, so this one needed no discount. |
| Alt Art / Showcase (non-Overnumbered) | ~13.3 | ~2.2 | 91% | Reliable | Textured alternate arts of Epics and Rares plus the foil rune and Decree showcases. ~9% of packs, 2–3 per box. Derived from the published 9% per-pack figure rather than the per-box midpoint: with two rare+ slots that is a 4.61% per-slot rate, so 2.21 cards per box and 13.3 per case — the low end of the parent page's 2–3/box range. The Unleashed case ran 1–4 per box, so expect the spread, not 2.2 every box. Kept in sync with /guides/vendetta-riftbound-pack-calculator, which backs out the same per-slot rate. |
| Overnumbered (rivalry art) | ~2.5 | ~0.4 | 37% | Lottery | Renekton and the Jace/Shen rivalry art confirmed pulled. The creator sample ran ~1/box — ignored. Modelled at the parent page’s retail expectation of ~1 per 2–3 boxes; the Unleashed sealed case produced exactly 1 in 6 boxes, so a case landing zero is entirely normal. |
| Crystal Rose (Wild Rift) | ~0.6 | ~0.1 | 10% | Lottery | The top chase — Crystal Ahri, Crystal Kai’Sa, Crystal Ezreal. Kai’Sa and Ezreal were both pulled in the creator sample, which is why that sample cannot be used raw. Modelled below the parent page’s "~1 per case or rarer" cap: most cases contain NONE, and the pool spans several champions, so a named Crystal is far rarer still. |
| Spirit Forge Showcase (SP) | ~0.6 | ~0.1 | 10% | Lottery | Ezreal, Spirit Forge (SP5 · 5-006) came out of a Vault in the sample — a premium showcase distinct from Crystal Rose. The parent page prices the two together at under 0.3 per box; split here so recording one does not drain the other’s pool. |
| Signed Overnumbered | ~0.3 | ~0 | 5% | Lottery | Signed variant of the Overnumbered rivalry art, rarer than unsigned and with no confirmed rate. Under 0.2 per box on the parent page; treat a hit as a multi-case event, not a case expectation. |
Odds / Fresh Box is the chance an untouched box from a full case holds at least one — the flat base rate the calculator compares against. Totals are averages with heavy variance: about 56 premium hits per case, almost all of it Epic and Alt Art. Crystal Rose, Spirit Forge and Signed Overnumbered are not guaranteed in any case, and most cases will contain none of the three.
The Creator-Box Problem — and the Adjustment We Applied
This needs stating plainly, because it is the reason the numbers above are lower than the box openings you saw at launch. The Vendetta release-week sample is 90 packs out of promotional creator boxes supplied by Riot ahead of release. Our pull-rate page flags it in its own words: creator boxes can run hotter than retail, and the high-end pulls — especially Crystal Rose — are a best case rather than an expected rate. Two of three creator boxes produced a Crystal Rose. No retail buyer should plan around that.
So the cross-check comes from the previous set. Unleashed has the same pack structure (three foils, two rare+ slots, 24-pack boxes, 6-box cases) and, crucially, a full sealed 6-box / 144-pack case opening plus a separate 168-pack multi-creator sample. That case is as close to a retail baseline as Riftbound currently has, and it said:
- Epics: 5–8 per box, averaging ~6.5 — essentially identical to Vendetta’s observed 6–7
- Alt arts: 1–4 per box across the six boxes — brackets Vendetta’s observed 2–3
- Overnumbered: exactly 1 in the entire case, against the opener’s own expectation of 2–3 and a published band of 1–2 per case
- Legends: 12 per box, in all six boxes — identical to Vendetta
- Top tier: the Baron Nashor Ultimate Rare was not pulled — zero across the 144-pack case and zero across the separate 168-pack sample
Which gives a clean, defensible adjustment, hit type by hit type:
| Hit Type | Creator-box sample | What we model | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| Epic | 6–7 / box | 39 / case (6.5 / box) — unchanged | The Unleashed retail case averaged ~6.5/box. The two agree to within rounding, so there is nothing to discount. |
| Alt Art / Showcase | 2–3 / box | 13.3 / case (2.2 / box) — unchanged | Derived from the published 9% per-pack rate rather than the 2–3/box midpoint: two rare+ slots make that 4.61% per slot, so 2.2 per box. Sits inside the Unleashed case’s 1–4 per box spread. Expect the spread, not 2.2 every box. |
| Overnumbered | ~1 / box (one box got zero) | ~2.5 / case (~0.4 / box) — discounted ~60% | Creator rate discarded. We use the conservative end of the pull-rate page’s retail expectation of 1 per 2–3 boxes, which is also where the Unleashed sealed case landed (1 per case). |
| Crystal Rose | 2–3 across 3 boxes (≈4–6 / case) | ~0.6 / case — discounted ~85–90% | Creator rate discarded outright. The pull-rate page caps retail at “roughly 1 per case or rarer”; we model below that cap because Unleashed’s equivalent top tier went 0-for-312 packs. |
| Spirit Forge (SP) | 1 pulled (from a Vault) | ~0.6 / case | The pull-rate page publishes Crystal Rose and Spirit Forge as one combined row at under 0.3 per box. Split here so recording one does not drain the other’s pool; together they stay under that combined ceiling. |
| Signed Overnumbered | no confirmed rate | ~0.3 / case | Rarer than unsigned Overnumbered and under 0.2 per box on the pull-rate page. Modelled at the low end — a multi-case event, not a case expectation. |
The honest summary: the reliable tier is trustworthy and needed no adjustment, because two independent samples agree on it. The lottery tier on this page is deliberately pessimistic relative to what you saw unboxed at launch, and it will stay that way until there is a retail case sample for Vendetta itself. When that lands, both this page and the pull-rate page get updated together.
The Floor: Roughly 64% of Packs Give You Nothing
The calculator deliberately does not track Legends or regular Rares, and that omission is itself a finding worth stating. Vendetta’s nine Legends — Zed, Shen, Akali, Ambessa, Mel, Renekton, Nasus, Jace and Kennen — sit at Rare rarity and fill the rare+ slots in most packs. At roughly 12 per box that is about 72 Legends per case, and the odds a sealed box contains one are effectively 100%, so modelling them as a depleting pool would tell you nothing.
What it does tell you is the floor. Because both rare+ slots can land on a Legend or a regular Rare, roughly 60–65% of Vendetta packs contain no Epic, Alt Art or Overnumbered at all — about 15–16 packs in every box. Double-Legend packs are common. This is the counterweight to every number above it on this page: the case budget is real, but it is spread thinly across 144 packs, most of which are blanks.
| What fills the slots | Per box | Per 6-box case | Tracked by the calculator? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Legends (the 9 champions, at Rare) | ~12 | ~72 | No — near-certain in every box |
| Regular Rares (units, spells, gear, Decree cycle) | ~24–26 | ~150 | No — near-certain in every box |
| Premium hits (Epic and above) | ~9–10 | ~58 | Yes — all six tiers |
| “Legend only” packs (no Epic or better) | ~15–16 | ~92 | — |
How the Odds Are Calculated
The model is deliberately simple and honest. For each hit type it takes the per-case average (39 Epics, ~2.5 Overnumbered, ~0.6 Crystal Rose), multiplies by your number of cases, and subtracts everything you have recorded to get the hits left in the case. Those remaining hits are spread across the boxes you have not opened, and the tool reports the chance a given sealed box holds at least one.
- Odds / sealed box — the conditional chance for a box you have not opened yet, after accounting for what is gone.
- base (grey) — the flat rate for a fresh, untouched box from a full case. Compare the two to see how far the opened boxes have moved your odds.
- Avg / box — expected number of that hit still sitting in each sealed box.
Three caveats, all of which matter here more than they do for a 12-box case. First, Vendetta has no fixed map, so these are estimates around a case average — treat a rising number as better odds, not a promise. Second, with only 6 boxes per case the conditional swing is large and so is the variance; two boxes opened is a third of the case, and a single lucky box can exhaust a tier on its own.
Third, and most relevant to the chases: because Crystal Rose, Spirit Forge and Signed Overnumbered all sit below one per case, recording a single one immediately takes that pool past its average and the tool shows it as bonus territory rather than printing negative odds. That is the correct reading — a case holding two Crystal Rose is not impossible, it is simply above budget, and nothing about the remaining sealed boxes rules it out.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Riftbound Vendetta have a case map?
No. Riot has never published one and no community box-by-box chart exists for Vendetta. The premium treatments land in the two rare+ slots at random, so one box can hold four notable hits and the next just one. What holds is the case budget — about 39 Epics, ~13 Alt Arts and 2–3 Overnumbered per 6-box case — which the calculator treats as a soft pool and depletes as you record what has been opened. Any box-by-box “Vendetta case map” chart online is invented.
How many boxes are in a Riftbound Vendetta case?
6 boxes, 24 packs each, so 144 packs per case and about $720 USD at the ~$120 per box MSRP. With two foil rare+ slots per pack, that is roughly 288 rare-or-above pulls per case.
What does a full Vendetta case actually yield?
On the retail-adjusted budget: ~39 Epics, ~13 Alt Art/Showcase, ~2.5 Overnumbered, ~0.6 Crystal Rose, ~0.6 Spirit Forge and ~0.3 Signed Overnumbered — about 56 premium hits, on top of ~72 Legends and ~150 regular Rares. The reliable tier lands in effectively every case; the lottery tier can skip one entirely. Unleashed’s full sealed case produced one Overnumbered and zero of its top-tier card.
What is the Crystal Rose pull rate per box?
We model ~0.6 per 6-box case, which is about a 10% chance for one untouched box and under a 50% chance that a given case contains one at all. Crystal Kai'Sa and Crystal Ezreal were both pulled in the release-week sample, but that sample came from promotional creator boxes; the retail expectation is roughly 1 per case or rarer, and we model below that cap. The pool also spans several champions — Crystal Ahri, Crystal Kai'Sa, Crystal Ezreal — so a named Crystal is far longer odds than any Crystal.
What are the Vendetta Overnumbered odds per box?
About 37% for a fresh box, from ~2.5 per case. The creator sample ran at roughly one per box; we do not use that. Our figure is the conservative end of the retail expectation of 1 per 2–3 boxes, and matches where Unleashed landed — one Overnumbered in a complete sealed case. Confirmed Vendetta pulls so far are the Overnumbered Renekton rivalry art and an Overnumbered Jace/Shen. Signed Overnumbered is rarer again at ~0.3 per case.
Why are these odds lower than the launch box openings?
Because the 90-pack release-week sample came from promotional creator boxes supplied ahead of release, which can run hotter than retail. Epic and Alt Art pass through unchanged — they agree with the retail-like Unleashed case — but the Overnumbered and Crystal Rose rates are discounted and replaced with retail expectations cross-checked against Unleashed’s full 6-box sealed case.
Can I use this to pick boxes from an already-opened case?
Yes, that is the main use. Set the case count, mark the boxes already taken as opened, record their hits if you know them, and the calculator prices the boxes still on the shelf. With only 6 boxes to a case each one opened moves the odds hard. Still estimates, though — with no fixed map a real case can over- or under-shoot.
Is a Vendetta case worth it over singles?
A case smooths the per-box variance and reliably clears the Epic and Alt Art tiers. It does not buy you the top of the set: roughly 60–65% of packs give you nothing above a Legend or a regular Rare, and at ~0.6 Crystal Rose per case a $720 case most often contains none. For Heart of the Tempest, Dominus, Rogue Assassin, a specific Overnumbered or a named Crystal, the single is dramatically cheaper than the expected cost of opening for it.
Disclaimer: All odds are estimates. Riftbound Vendetta has no published case map and no fixed hit map. The per-case budget is retail-adjusted downward from a 90-pack release-week sample taken from promotional creator boxes, cross-checked against the Riftbound Unleashed 168-pack sample and its full 6-box / 144-pack sealed case opening; this tool models those averages as a soft pool spread across the sealed boxes, with heavy variance in both directions. Any card prices referenced elsewhere in our Vendetta coverage are early speculative release-week asks in a market that is not yet established.
